Star date 98.11.4 Admiral Phashaun is addressing the captain of the starship Burnoth about the gallactic noise and the safety of the crew.

Well Tim, according to all of the information we have been given in the past few days, it has been decided the only course of action is to fire on the planet. We know you have contacted them about ceasing the sounds. Their responces that they are not responsible are very bizarre. We do not understand why they would lie about it. Warnings obviously are not enough in this case. We regret that war is the action we must take. It is however necessary to ensure the safety of the 1200 lives abord the ship.

Admiral, are you sure there is no other way for us to handle this? Is there no diplomatic solution we might try? I am as concerned about the lives of my people as anyone, but we are talking about the destruction of a whole planet.

I have spoken with the graflas elders and the sensor, Ycara. I can't help but feel as if there is something more to this than meets the eye.

You have your orders Tim. It is regretable, but there is no other way.

Yes, sir. May I try at least once more to reason with them?

You have one more opportunity, after that you have 4 hours. Then begin the assault.

Yes sir. Captain Hurley, out.

Star date 98.11.7 Admiral Phashaun is addressing Ycara and all of the graflas.

It is apparent that we have made a grave error in having shot upon your world. All of our equipment indicated to us that the deadly noises were coming from your planet. Please accept our deepest apologies for this terrible thing we have done. I can not express to you just how badly we feel!

We will, of course, give aide to you in every way possible. We will immediately send shipments of food replicators, clothing, and building materials. We will send personel to assist in the rebuilding of your world. I pray you will allow us to do this and accept our freindship.

I realise you have suffered greatly, and if it were possible to undo the damage we have done, please believe me we would.

I have to say that most of the responsibility is mine for this awful thing which has happened. I gave orders for my people to be protected. Please forgive me.

I know that we can never make up for your losses but we would like to ease your struggles as much as possible over the coming months. I can not find the words to make this any easier for you, though I wish I could.
