Captain Hurley, we have considered the possibilities and weighed our options, as you have asked. Chief Boktish says he must agree with the Klingons. The sounds seem to be coming from the planet.
We have run and rerun scans to prove ohterwise. We can not.
It does seem puzzling that the sounds do in fact seem to have a rhythm, as if some song were being sent out to us.
It is however,
eminent that we will all perish if the sound is not ended in approximately 7 point 24 hours. Action must be taken before it is too late.
Let it go on the record sir, that I, Commander Vanpall
believe their may be another explaination for these sounds. I know that it seems illogical, however I seem to be hearing the sounds coming from the other side of the planet during our scans. There is
nothing there. I feel as if we should try to find another way to deal with this without war.
I have laid out the preliminary plan of attack which you more recently asked for. There is a large
structure in the hills on the main body of land. It seems to have a large number of graflas gathering there. I believe it to be the heart of their military. We should take it out first.
The land
below it has the most water and sources of supplies. We should go there and get rid of the council room and the great hall. We believe it is also where the sensor, Ycara, is to be stationed. She poses
a great risk because she is empathic and possibly telepathic.
It would be a good idea to keep most of the rest of the graflas in a state of confusion. We should also make sure that the any other
major buildings are destroyed.
I hope we can resolve this without war. I would like to continue tests if I may.
